Wilden's February Open Day 2005

Following a December Open Day, Wilden All Saints was featured in the national press, (The Daily Telegraph, The Independent and more locally The Birmingham Post) and as a consequence on a rainy February day, Wilden was overwhelmed by 1,339 visitors from diverse locations such as Essex, London, Lancashire, Cardiff, Bishop’s Stortford, Derby, Surrey, Oxford and Peterborough. Some of these long distance travellers had booked into hotels for the weekend.

Many requested ideas for other places to visit before returning home and this was a first hint of possibilities.The Open Day highlighted a vast interest in local historical heritage.
