2. Walk along the footpath through Wyre Mill Farm passing fields of grazing horses and over a bridge crossing the  River Stour.

3. At the end of this footpath turn right and walk uphill to a gated bridge over the canal.

4. Turn left to join the canal towpath and walk to Mitton Chapel Bridge. (You will pass a winding hole, an arm of the canal used for turning- with the pulley still in place to assist horse-drawn boats, and the Bird-in -Hand. This pub is a typical canalside inn  with shaped brickwork which allowed horses to pass through to stabling areas).

5. Cross over the bridge into St. Michael's churchyard. On a school holiday Wednesday or the first Saturday of the month  the church will be open for viewing. Otherwise it is still possible to see the modern church within the ruins of previous churches, and also the iron vault tombs dedicated to 29 members of the Baldwin family and produced in the Baldwin works.

6. To return to Wilden walk parallel to the canal in a northwards direction through the churchyard to the bridge just beyond the Bird-in-Hand. Cross over but stay on the dismantled railway line track. From the path are views towards Kidderminster, Hartlebury or Stourport and after the path crosses over the Stour descend by the Rock Tavern pub and turn right to Wilden.
